About Cori Withell
Hi, I am Cori and owner of CW Fitness. I have always been passionate about mindful health and fitness and took the plunge in 2007 to start my own business and I haven’t looked back since.
Mindful health and fitness has always played an important part in my life. From an early age I enjoyed all forms of fitness and this has stayed with me. In my early teens I had a tough time changing schools and trying to fit in and exercise was my release and still is today.
The difference exercise has made to my life has been enormous. In times of stress and anxiety it was what got me through. I do various voluntary works with mental health clinics and charities and love showing people how exercise can lift their mood, no matter how slight. It isn’t always about fat loss – that is just a great side effect!
I started off teaching just two freestyle classes a week and realised this was something I should have done years ago. At the time, I still worked as an Office Manager and I continued to do that for another two and a half years while I built the business up but gradually reducing my hours!
My passion for exercise just grew and grew and I started studying again to become a personal trainer. I discovered a real thirst for learning and continued my education with Pilates, Psychology of Behaviour Change and Applied Nutrition. I continue to learn and develop so that the information and advice I offer is up to the minute.
My latest additions have been Zumba, which I qualified in 2009 and I regularly study and intern with Phil Richards who is a world renowned nutrition and conditioning expert.
